Yoga Ball
Practitioners of yoga can warm up for a class simply by
stretching over a yoga ball for relaxation. They can lie on the belly
and extend their arms over and stay in that position for a few minutes.
People with back problems should avoid lying on a yoga ball with their
face up without consulting their doctor first.
The yoga ball can also be used for core exercises. These exercises
target the abdominal muscles and back. In addition core exercises can
help increase balance and stability.
Because a yoga ball provides so many benefits many other exercise programs
have incorporated it into their regimens. There are DVDs for sale that
use a yoga ball but do not have anything to do with yoga. These DVDs
are often advertised on TV infomercials.
